Real-life modeling for EFficient RESource management in Heterogeneous multi-user systems

National Science Foundation funded project

CNS Division Of Computer and Network Systems

  • Dr. Tsiropoulou has organized a workshop: International Workshop on Real-life modeling in 5G networks and beyond – REFRESH (https://refresh2021.github.io/#/), for two consecutive years, which is collocated with the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DISTRIBUTED COMPUTING IN SENSOR SYSTEMS (https://dcoss.org/workshops/). The main research topics that were included in the call for papers of the workshop, were derived from the research scope of this NSF project.
  • Also, Dr. Tsiropoulou has been involved in the organization of the following conferences as a Technical Program Committee Chair (2nd year of the project): 1. 26th IEEE Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC 2021) https://iscc2021.unipi.gr/, 2. 19th ACM International Symposium on Mobility Management and Wireless Access (ACM MobiWac 2021) http://mobiwac-symposium.org/2021/committee.html, 3. 30th International Conference on Computer Communications and Networks (ICCCN 2021) - Track 1: Ad Hoc, Mobile, and Sensor Networking (AMSN) http://www.icccn.org/icccn21/committeesandtracks/technical-tracks/track1.html In the above conferences, Dr. Tsiropoulou has included topics of this research project within the call for papers in order to attract technical papers submissions from the research community in the specific research field.
  • A workshop, 14th Workshop on Challenged Networks (CHANTS 2019), was organized as part of the ACM MobiCom 2019 conference involving research topics relevant to the scope of this project.

Proceedings of the 14th Workshop on Challenged Networks, CHANTS@MobiCom 2019, Los Cabos, Mexico, October 25, 2019. ACM 2019, ISBN 978-1-4503-6933-6
  • The PI has contacted journalists from versatile delivery channels that are interested in publishing short stories highlighting the scientific achievements of the project. The research findings of the project were presented in the news program of KRQE TV channel. More information can be found here, as well as part of the news program referring to this project. The broader public audience was informed about the research objectives and findings of this project.
  • Several articles related to the research achievements of this project have been published by the School of Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of New Mexico. Some indicative articles can be found in the following links:
